Valerie Gilford brings expertise in the areas of diversity and leadership development to her coaching practice with corporate executives. She is the CEO of Valerie Gilford & Associates, a Human Resources Development firm specializing in leadership development, executive coaching, employee selection, change management, team dynamics and conflict dynamics.
With over twenty-five years of internal and external consulting and managerial experience within a wide variety of industries, Valerie brings insightful, dynamic and results driven solutions to a myriad of organizational problems and opportunities. Valerie consults with high potentials, senior leaders and high level teams in organizations who want their leadership to be more influential and productive. Her clients have reported her coaching and interventions have played a major role in enhancing performance and accountability throughout their organization and in their personal life. Valerie’s mission is to provide her clients with clarity, awareness, relevance and focus to help clients reach their goals and make positive and measurable change. Some of the organizations Valerie has worked with include: Ernst and Young, Readers Digest, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Societe Generale, Thomson Reuters, The Rockefeller Foundation, Verizon, Prudential and Mizuho Bank In addition to working with the Impact Leadership Development Group, Valerie serves as an adjunct coach for the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC and Rensselaer University at Hartford, CT. In 2006, she joined the adjunct faculty of Duke University’s Corporate Education Center. In her career, Valerie has served in increasingly responsible management and executive positions in operations and human resources at AT&T and Carrier Corporation, a division of United Technologies. In addition she was the Director of Management and Executive Learning at Rensselaer University, Hartford, CT campus. Valerie has a BA in Education from the University of Connecticut, a M.A. and Ed.M in Counseling and Applied Human Development from Teachers College, Columbia University and a MS in Industrial Engineering from N.Y. Polytechnic Institute. Valerie resides in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
