Julie brings the wisdom and benefit of twenty years of experience in the fields of organization development, leadership training, curriculum design, and project management to her work as a Project Manager for Impact Leadership Development Group, LLC.
Julie played a significant role in the successful start-up of the Saturn Corporation from 1986-1997. Her work in Human Resources, Training & Development, and Organization Development functions began when she coordinated the initial design for Saturn's organizational structure. She helped drive the long-term strategic plan of the Human Resource organization, created a workforce training plan for the initial workforce of 3000 Saturn team members during the company's manufacturing launch, and designed the curriculum for manufacturing leaders throughout Saturn. While serving as the lead OD consultant to the assembly area of the manufacturing plant, Julie oversaw the team-building, team development process and training of over 2500 employees by training and leading a team of UAW facilitators in conflict resolution, facilitation and training.
As a member of the Saturn Consulting Services team, Julie provided training and consulting services to General Motors Europe, focusing on improving the effectiveness of the European sales operations for GM Europe.
In 1996, Julie was designated as the Project Manager for Saturn University, a new corporate university for Saturn suppliers, which provided training programs and consulting services for over four hundred parts suppliers. Once established, Saturn University was awarded the prestigious annual General Motors President's Council Award, which recognizes contributions to the competitiveness of the GM Corporation worldwide.
Julie is the President of Julie E. Richman and Associates, a consulting and project management firm in Colorado Springs, and she has consulted with non-profit agencies as well as community colleges and educational institutions.
Julie earned an M.B.A. from the Yale University School of Management and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University. She serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of the Yale University School of Management Alumni Association, is a former member of the Board of the Colorado Yale Alumni Association, former member of the Hadassah Desert-Mountain Region Board and Past President of the Hadassah Chapter of Colorado Springs. Julie founded the Colorado Yale School of Management MBA network, is a founding member of the Jewish Leadership Council of the Pikes Peak Region, and has served on numerous other Boards in her local community and school system.
