Don is principal of Gunther Leadership, a consulting
business that provides solutions for improving organizational effectiveness. Client solutions include executive
coaching, behavioral assessments, team building and experiential learning. With over 25 years of experience, Don
offers a unique blend of organizational development, management experience,
functional business knowledge, and consulting skills. The client list includes the American Academy of
Dermatology, BP, Chico's FAS, Dell, FMC Technologies, North Carolina
Biotechnology Center, Reliant Energy and Waste Management.
In addition to the work with Gunther
Leadership, Don serves as a BP Americas Faculty member, training 1st
level leaders / managers in the U.S., Canada, the Middle East, and Asia on
leading effective teams and improving personal performance.
He has worked with the Center for Creative
Leadership® (CCL®) in Greensboro, NC, as Senior Faculty for the Global Custom
Solutions Group. In this capacity, he consulted with global clients to assess
their organizational development needs, and then design and implement custom leadership
development solutions. His clients
included AXA Equitable, Bayer, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Booz Allen Hamilton, ESPN,
Ford Motor Company, Medtronic, Saks Fifth Avenue, U.S. Intelligence Community
and Verizon.
Before joining CCL, he was Vice President,
Development Director for JPMorgan Chase. Don created an executive
management/leadership development function and led the efforts for leadership
mentoring. In addition, he was responsible for managing a performance
consulting group to support the JPMorgan Chase investment bank.
He has contributed his leadership and
expertise in the areas of organizational development, talent management,
training, and performance management for various consumer products companies
including Nabisco, Sara Lee Corporation, E&J Gallo Winery, and Oscar Mayer
Company.
Don received a B.S. in Business
Administration, with a concentration in Marketing Management from the
University of Louisiana - Lafayette. He also earned an M.B.A. from the Babcock
Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. Don resides in
Winston-Salem and works with the Triad Information Reading Service,
broadcasting local news for the visually impaired.
