Bob Neems

Bob Neems, Ph.D., has an in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of assessment tools, team building approaches, and leadership development which he contributes to his work as an executive coach. He brings over twenty years of experience in the areas of executive selection and development, team development and leadership consultation.

Bob views his work as helping to accelerate the learning of individuals and organizations as a means of improving organizational results.  He enjoys the opportunity to learn what it takes to succeed in the organizations and industries to which he has consulted.   Bob brings energy and imagination to his work in leadership development programs both as a facilitator and as a coach helping participants integrate diverse assessment data to create development plans.  He has a passion for targeting these plans on the business challenges facing his clients, especially with senior executives in the financial services sector.   Bob has performed selection assessments in the financial services industry for 12 years, using information from testing, interviews, and experiential simulations to assess candidates’ analytical, influence, supervisory, and leadership skills.  Bob has worked with executives from a wide range of industries, including financial services, power, consulting, legal, pharmaceuticals, construction, manufacturing, consumer products, travel, technology, aviation industries.  He has done extensive work with The Hartford, Prudential Financial, and other financial services companies.  He also works with smaller companies which face the special challenge where each individual wears “many hats”. He is currently the Chief Assessor at Rensselaer at Hartford, an affiliate of the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) and has worked with CCL programs for over 20 years.  He resides and practices is in West Hartford, CT.   Bob received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. Louis University in 1982.  He has a BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester and an MA in Psychology from the University of South Carolina.
